Founders William Tanuwijaya and Leontinus Alpha Edison have built Tokopedia into one of the most successful internet companies in Indonesia since its launch in 2009. Based on SimilarWeb’s Indonesia popular website ranking list, Tokopedia is ranked eighth, beating Twitter, WordPress, and Wikipedia. It is also the most visited local site in Indonesia.

Traveloka is the biggest online portal for plane and hotel bookings in Indonesia. Traveloka is ranked as Indonesia’s number one flight search and booking service, apart from the direct airline websites. The online travel agency landscape in Indonesia is still relatively niche.
